I strongly recommend it. Kids get to practice more and they get to swim across the pool. The coaches are giving them very specific simple instructions. The groups are mixed groups so the kids get to see each other’s skills and get motivated by the higher level kids. The coaches are awesome.

This company is a total scam! Be very careful before giving them your credit card info. They give you receipts for 1 amount & charge you alot more than that. They overcharged me by $332. It was only when I checked my credit card that I found out. Then they said they were charging for the future month, & then reimbursed partial money. They still owe me $192 that they didn’t provide me a receipt for & sneakly charged on my credit card. Unbelievable! Stay away! You never get the same coaches, 1 day your kid is placed in level 2, next class thrown in to level 4…upon asking you findout they were understaffed so your kid was put wherever there’s space. They’re just passing time & making money, without recognizing your child as a person ..forget about their strengths/weaknesses , they don’t even keep track of what level which child is at. Scammers!

I withdrew my son from the community rec center program as he was not learning much due to lack of attention from instructor and oversize class. Joined Dynamo Swim Club about a month ago and his performance and level of confidence in the water has continued to progressed every lesson. The instructors was super friendly and patience with him. Great experience with this company and would definitely recommend Dynamo Swim Club over community rec center's swimming program.

Terrible club and so unprofessional staff. My child learned wrong swimming skills and now we need to correct everything. Lidia Menzes (head coach) misleads parents that she is an owner of this club but it is not true. This club is a non-profit organization. Her husband Steve collected cash for unofficial competitions and refused to provide receipts. Don't recommend this club to anyone. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUB!

This swim club has been a life-saver for my child (almost literally!). After having watched my son (age 7 now) spend over a year in pointless 30 minutes Burnaby recreational swimming lessons (with 8 kids per group and overworked, time pressured instructors), failing levels over and over again, I decided to give this club a try. In just the past 4 lessons with Dynamo Swim Club he has improved exponentially. He now has a confidence and enthusiasm for swimming which was sadly lacking, due to his previous experiences. I sincerely recommend this club to every parent that has been though the same scenario as myself. Lidia and her team of instructors are kind, knowledgeable and encouraging. The class sizes are small and the lesson time of one hour makes a big difference. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

The owner and instructor, Lidia, is fabulous! She taught me to swim in five lessons! I'm an adult who took private lessons, and of course, my stroke still needs work, but I am able to swim on my own in the deep end and somewhat tread water as well. Lidia has a fabulous sense of humour and gets you really relaxed in the water which makes it easier to learn to swim. I would recommend her to anyone who is learning to swim or wants to improve her or his technique.

We have a son with Autism who loves to swim. Head Coach Lidia did not even think twice before accepting him in the club. We are thankful for the whole club's support and the patience of the coaching staff in teaching our son. He feels included and accepted there. He has improved a lot and is thriving. He has recently participated in the BC Summer Games where he brought home 5 medals. I highly recommend this swim club.
